Lamine Yamal copies Vinicius Jr’s celebration after scoring for Barcelona in El Clasico win over Real Madrid; Kylian Mbappe reaction goes viral

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe's reaction after Lamine Yamal copied Vinicius Jr's iconic celebration in Saturday's El Clasico has gone viral. The French icon faced a crushing 4-0 defeat in his first-ever El Clasico on October 26 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Barcelona onslaught started in the second half after an evenly matched goalless first-half. Robert Lewandowski began the scoring with two quickfire goals (54' and 56').

Lamine Yamal followed it up with a right-footed shot past Andriy Lunin's outstretched hands to score the visitors' third goal in the 77th minute. Finally, Raphinha produced a perfectly measured chip (84') to beat the Madrid goalkeeper and make it 4-0 on the night for the Catalan giants.

After scoring the third goal, Yamal mimicked Vinicius's iconic dance routine in front of the Santiago Bernabeu crowd along with left-back Alejandro Balde. Cameras were quick to catch Mbappe, who was standing with a dejected look on his face.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti responded to criticism faced by superstar forward Kylian Mbappe ahead of Saturday's game against Barcelona. The Monaco graduate joined Los Blancos from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) this summer on a free transfer.

In 14 club games played this season so far, Mbappe has scored eight goals and provided two assists. However, the Frenchman has faced criticism because of the frequent comparisons with his record at PSG.

Last season, Mbappe contributed 44 goals and 10 assists in 48 games across competitions. Overall, the centre-forward registered 256 goals and 108 assists in 308 games during his time with the French outfit.

Carlo Ancelotti addressed the criticisms before his El Clasico debut, saying (via @theMadridZone on X):

"Mbappe struggling? He’s scoring goals and we’re very happy with him. He’ll keep on improving and integrating into the team."

Talking about Kylian Mbappe's performance in Real Madrid's 5-2 win in the Champions League group stage home clash against Borussia Dortmund (October 22), Ancelotti said:

"We are satisfied, because he has scored goals. He is important for the team, against Dortmund he was very present in both goals. Neither me, nor the squad nor him are in a hurry. Obviously he is going to do better because he has all the qualities to do better."

Real Madrid will face Valencia in their next LaLiga clash at the Mestalla on November 2.
