"Legends" - Neymar Jr hails Steph Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant as they star for US men's basketball team in 2024 Olympics SF
Al-Hilal striker Neymar has applauded the US men's basketball team trio of Steph Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant for reaching the 2024 Paris Olympics final. Team USA registered a thrilling 95-91 come-from-behind victory on Thursday (August 8) over Nikola Jokic's Serbia.
The star-studded American team trailed by as many as 17 points in the contest before rallying to take the win. In fact, it's the largest deficit overcome by Team USA since NBA players were allowed to compete at the Olympics since Barcelona 1992.
All three of Curry, James and Durant were key in the win over Serbia. Curry top-scored for his team by 36 points; James produced a triple-double (16 points, 12 assists, 10 rebounds), while Durant starred with nine points.
Neymar - who has been out injured since October last year - posted a picture of the trio of Curry, James and Durant and captioned it in his Instagram stories:

While Neymar recuperates, US' Steph Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant seek history at Paris Olympics
Neymar hasn't played for nearly a year since sustaining an injury late last year while on international duty for Brazil, during the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Meanwhile, over in Paris, the Team USA trio of Steph Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant are seeking history at the Olympics. A win over France will make Durant the first man to win four Olympic men's basketball gold medals, having won at London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
Durant is also on course to become the first male player to win four Olympic golds at a team event. Nikola Karabatic will join him if France win the men's handball competition.
With Team USA improving to a staggering 144-6 at the Olympics, including 63-4 since NBA players were allowed to compete 32 years ago, James is looking to add to his previous successes at Beijing 2008 and London 2012.
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old Curry - who has become the oldest male basketball player to debut at the Olympics - will look to mark his campaign with the gold medal.
