Ligue 1 club ready to sell Real Madrid transfer target for €50m fee - Reports

According to Relevo, Real Madrid target Leny Yoro's asking price has been reduced by Ligue 1 club Lille. The French side have reduced their asking price from €60 million to €50 million in a bid to sell the young defender this summer.

The teenage defender is reportedly a target for Manchester United and Liverpool but is only interested in a move to Madrid. Lille are also in a poor negotiating position for the 18-year-old as his current contract expires next year.

Yoro is reportedly open to waiting a year and joining Los Blancos for free next summer, a possibility that will fill the Ligue 1 side with horror.

Despite his youth, Yoro has played 60 games for the French side, scoring three times and providing one assist. He is expected to slot into the Real Madrid defense to replace the departing Nacho Fernandez.

Los Blancos and Lille are still some way apart in their valuation of the defender, but their €40 million valuation is only €10 million apart from the French side's and can likely be thrashed out in add-ons.

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde talks about departing club captain Nacho Fernandez

Federico Valverde has shared the heartfelt message he sent to Nacho Fernandez. The Spanish defender spent his whole career with the Spanish giants after coming through their La Fabrica youth system but has decided to leave the club in the twilight of his career.

Nacho made 364 appearances for Los Blancos after making 111 for the Castilla side and won six UEFA Champions Leagues, four La Liga's and five FIFA Club World Cups, among other accolades.

Valverde, who has made 258 appearances for Real Madrid, praised Nacho in a recent interview with Marca.

“I wrote to him," Valverde said. "For us, he was an example from the first day we entered as youngsters into the club. He always made the code of the club very clear to us, always contributing his part.”
“Sometimes he hasn’t had to play much, but always with good examples, for us he was a great captain and a reference. I wish him the best and I’m sure he’ll be supporting Madrid.”

Los Blancos will begin a new era without the stalwart defender in their midst but will trust in the younger generation of players to continue their tradition of success in the years to come.
