Ligue 1 star ready to stay at current club until contract expires and join Real Madrid as a free agent next summer - Reports
According to a report by The Athletic, Real Madrid target Leny Yoro is willing to wait until his contract expires with Ligue 1 side, Lille to join Los Blancos as a free agent. The teenager is contracted at the club till 2025 and is one of the most sought-after young talents in football.
Despite receiving offers from clubs across Europe, Yoro has his heart set on joining Madrid and is willing to wait a year to do so. The decision could be problematic for Lillie who will not be keen to lose the defender for free.
Despite initially valuing the 18-year-old at around €60 million, The Ligue 1 side could drastically reduce their asking price for the Real Madrid target. The French club will be wary of having a situation similar to Kylian Mbappe's departure from Paris Saint-Germain to Los Blancos on their hands.
The Ligue 1 is famously in a tight financial situation and Lille is unlikely to risk losing a potential windfall this summer. The ball is now in Los Blancos court, with the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners likely to need defensive reinforcements following Nacho Fernandez's retirement.
Real Madrid star reportedly open to exit
According to a report by The Athletic, Dani Ceballos is keen to secure an exit from Real Madrid this summer. The 27-year-old signed for the Spanish giants in 2017 reportedly for €16.5 million from Real Betis and despite signing a contract extension last season, might be on his way out.
The Spaniard has made 147 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring 7 and assisting 14 in his time with the club. He has also helped the club to two La Liga crowns and three UEFA Champions League crowns in his way.
Ceballos made 27 appearances last season Under Carlo Ancelotti, scoring once and providing two assists in Real Madrid's double-winning campaign. if he can be sold, it would provide a route to more consistent playing time for youngsters like Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler in the coming season.
Ceballos had a loan spell at Arsenal that saw him make 77 appearances for the North London side, but returned to the Spanish capital in 2021. The midfielder might be difficult to move on, with his lackluster displays and wages likely to discourage any potential suitors.
