Lionel Messi’s son spotted wearing Barcelona superstar’s jersey as Inter Miami captain shares video of kids riding bicycle
One of Barcelona legend Lionel Messi's sons was seen wearing Barca teenager Lamine Yamal's jersey while cycling, a video of which the 37-year-old shared on Instagram story.
Yamal, 17, is one of the best young players in the game at the moment, having enjoyed a breathrough 2023-24 campaign under Xavi. He contributed seven goals and nine assists in 50 games across competitions, including five goals and seven assists in 37 La Liga outings even as Barca endured a trophyless campaign.
The teenager continued his stellar exploits over the summer with Spain, registering a goal and four assists in their victorious Euro 2024 campaign in Germany.
The Barca prodigy has continued in the same vein this season under new boss Hansi Flick. In 19 appearances across competitions, Yamal has contributed six goals and eight assists as he stays on course for the most prolific campaign of his young career.
Meanwhile, Messi - now at Inter Miami - is a bonafide Barca legend, plundering a club record 672 goals in 17 frutiful seasons betweeen 2004 and 2021. Now enjoying his off-season, with the Herons knocked out of the MLS Cup in the first round, Messi posted a video on Instagram of one of his sons cycling around while wearing Yamal's No. 19 jersey.
