Kylian Mbappe made anti-right-wing statements ahead of Euro 2024 opener

France national team captain Kylian Mbappe delivered a strong anti-right message, asking voters in his nation to make an informed political choice.

While talking to media ahead of France's opening match in Euro 2024 against Austria, the 25-year-old forward said (via The Guardian):

"The game tomorrow is very important. I think that I am well placed to say and I've said it until I'm blue in the face, but there is a situation that is even more important than the game."

Kylian Mbappe, who recently signed for La Liga giants Real Madrid, injured his nose against Austria. The French Football Federation later confirmed that the captain had fractured his nose.

The Paris Saint-Germain legend, who won't have to undergo surgery immediately, will be seen wearing a protective mask.
