Fans have reacted online after Cristiano Ronaldo's club Al-Nassr released their third kit for the 2024-25 season. They were pleased with the jersey, with some pointing out its similarity to that of Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Knights of Najd revealed the new kit in a video posted on the club's official X handle. The Adidas-sponsored kit is purely white, but the sleeves, the club's logo, and other inscriptions have been designed with gold. The Saudi club's kit was previously manufactured by Nike. However, they switched to Adidas for the 2024-25 season after signing a three-year partnership deal with the German-based sportswear brand.
Al-Nassr's jersey has become a favorite among football fans since the club captured Cristiano Ronaldo in 2023. The Portuguese icon has one of the biggest fan bases in the world and this has significantly led to an increase in jersey demands for the Riyhad-based outfit.
Several fans loved the new kit and took to X to express their opinions after it was released. One fan pointed out the similarities between Al-Nassr's new kit and Real Madrid's 2019-20 kit.
The fan wrote:
"Wait.. I've seeen this before... it's classic. Madrid memories.
"Man this is so cold and clean," a second fan claimed.
"It looks amazing," a third fan wrote.
"That looks hard finally a kit we can buy," another fan commented.
Others posted pictures of Cristiano Ronaldo rocking a similar design of the new kit during his Real Madrid days.
"Same Vibes," a user tweeted.
"Run it back," chimed in another.
Who will Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr face after the international break?
The Knights of Najd will return to action on Friday, October 18, when they face Al-Shabab away in the Saudi Pro League. After that, they will travel to Iraq for their AFC Champions League Elite clash with Esteghlal FC four days later.
In their last outing before the break, Al-Nassr defeated Al-Orobah 3-0 at home in the league. Cristiano Ronaldo was on the scoresheet in that encounter, netting the opener, while Sadio Mane scored a brace.
After a relatively poor start to the campaign, Al-Nassr has found steady form under new manager Stefano Pioli who replaced Luis Castro. They are currently on a five-game winning streak across competitions. They sit third in the Saudi Pro League table, four points behind leaders Al-Hilal.
