Manchester United name asking price for Jadon Sancho despite player having ‘positive influence’ on others around him after return to team: Reports
Manchester United have reportedly slapped a £40 million price tag on forward Jadon Sancho despite his positive reintegration into the team this summer. The Red Devils are willing to cash in on the England international, who is attracting interest from a number of sides across Europe.
DailyMail journalist Chris Wheeler reports that the Englishman has fitted back into the squad following his loan spell, seeing as he was familiar with most of the players already. The former Borussia Dortmund man has exuded a positive energy since his truce with Erik ten Hag earlier this summer, and has featured in pre-season.
The journalist did share, however, that the club will be interested in moving the winger on this summer, and will request a fee of around £40 million for him. They consider themselves to be well-stocked in attack, with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho considered to be ahead of him.
Sancho reportedly has interest from European sides like Juventus and Borussia Dortmund, with French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) also linked with him. The forward will be open to a move away from Old Trafford, particularly if he feels like he will not play as much as he would like to.
Sancho was one of the highly rated young wingers when he swapped Borussia Dortmund for Old Trafford in 2021. The Englishman has struggled to make an impact in his time at the club, with issues eventually coming to a head with manager Erik ten Hag in 2023-24.
Jadon Sancho spent the second half of the season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, where he helped them reach the UEFA Champions League final. The 24-year-old was wanted by the German club on another loan, but the transfer did not work out and he has returned to Manchester United.
Premier League side set to beat Manchester United to right-back - Reports
West Ham United are reportedly closing in on the signing of Morocco international Noussair Mazraoui on a permanent deal from Bayern Munich. The Hammers look set to beat Manchester United to the right-back, who is keen on a move to the Premier League.
Manchester United are looking to add a new right-back to their squad and have Mazraoui in their sights, but need to offload players to be able to sign him. The Red Devils are looking to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka in order to fund the transfer of the 26-year-old Moroccan.
The Athletic reports that West Ham already have an agreement with the player and Bayern Munich, but the deal is yet to be sealed. Erik ten Hag managed Mazraoui in his days at Ajax, and is looking to reunite with the player.
