Meet Noemie Romee, new Chelsea star Filip Jorgensen’s partner who works as sales tax employee in Holland

New Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen joined the English giants from Villarreal this summer. He made his debut for the English giants in the second half of their 3-0 pre-season friendly win over Club America on Wednesday, July 31.

Chelsea managed to edge Olympique Marseille to the signing of the 22-year-old, paying around £20.7 million to get Jorgensen from Villarreal.

A quick look through the goalkeeper's Instagram page reveals that he is in a relationship with Noemie Romee. He first posted a photo of his partner in April 2023, and the pair have since continued uploading pictures of each other from various locations.

Romee works as a sales tax employee with the Dutch Ministry of Finance, a position she has held since November 2021. She previously worked at a Dutch real estate firm.

Noemie Romee often posted videos of herself at Villarreal games during Jorgensen's time at El Madrigal. She watched from the stands and took videos of her partner in action during the games. The couple share a close bond and have a pet Pomeranian as well.

Filip Jorgensen will be certain of having her in his corner as he takes on the biggest test of his career so far. The 22-year-old would have to outperform Robert Sanchez and impress Enzo Maresca for a place in Chelsea's starting XI.

Filip Jorgensen shares plans for competition with Chelsea star

New Chelsea signing Filip Jorgensen spoke with the club's in-house media about how he intends to become the first-choice at Stamford Bridge. He highlighted the need for competition, saying:

"Competition is always good. I came here to compete with him and obviously the one who plays is up to the manager. So I will try to do my best every day in training and then at the end of it the manager will decide who plays."
"Everyone to be honest is working with me very well. Robert as well, he seems to be a very good guy, a good trainer. I think it will be healthy competition and a good competition," he added.

Robert Sanchez started against Club America before being replaced by Filip Jorgensen at half-time. Both goalkeepers are competent for Maresca's playing style and will likely slug it out for a starting berth.
