Meet Raul Asencio, Real Madrid star who got assist on debut vs Osasuna while being investigated for alleged release of s*x video involving minor

Real Madrid's academy talent Raul Asencio bagged an assist against Osasuna as he made his senior team debut in LaLiga on Saturday, November 9. However, the 21-year-old is reportedly under investigation for the alleged release of child p**nography.

Asencio came on in the 30th minute as a substitute for Eder Militao, who had to be carried out on a stretcher after suffering an injury. Twelve minutes after coming on, the young defender assisted Jude Bellingham's second goal for Real Madrid (42'), doubling the lead. A hat-trick from Vinicius Jr. alongside Bellingham's first goal of the season saw Los Blancos secure a 4-0 victory after two consecutive defeats against Barcelona (4-0) and AC Milan (3-1).

Raul Asencio is one of the four Real Madrid academy players under investigation for the alleged release of a s*x video involving a minor in September 2023. According to AS, multiple sources have claimed Asencio was not present where the events took place in Las Palmas and wasn't part of the s*xual act. However, he is still under investigation to determine whether he had a role in the distribution of the alleged video.

Asencio began his career playing for his hometown team, Las Palmas, before joining Los Blancos' academy, La Fabrica at the age of 14. The center-back is reportedly considered one of the "most exciting" defenders at the club. He has made 45 appearances for the club's B team, Real Madrid Castilla.

"My dream became true today" - Raul Asencio makes feelings clear after making his debut for Real Madrid against Osasuna

In the post-match press conference, Raul Asencio shared his thoughts after an impressive performance on his debut vs. Osasuna. He said (via Madrid Xtra):

"This has always been my dream since I was a little boy. My dream became true today. I'm a player who likes to defend a lot and help my teammates. I'm a serious player."

The defender also heaped praises on Jude Bellingham, adding:

"Playing with Jude Bellingham is incredible. He's one of the best in the world."

In 60 minutes of gameplay, Raul Asencio made two clearances and one tackle. He maintained a 93% passing accuracy, made one key pass, and created one big chance. He lost possession only thrice in the game.

With Eder Militao suffering a serious ACL injury, Asencio could get more game time at least until the winter transfer window. Apart from Militao, Real Madrid also have other key players unavailable, including Lucas Vazquez, David Alaba, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Rodrygo.
