“MLS is always an opportunity” - Ex-PSG attacker teases transfer move to follow Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi's former Argentina teammate and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) icon, Javier Pastore has teased a move to the MLS. The South American has been without a club for over a year since he left Qatar SC and is considering his options.
Pastore is a beloved figure at PSC where he scored 45 goals and provided 59 assists in 267 appearances across competitions. He helped them win five Ligue1 titles and Super Cups and four League Cups.
Speaking to the Mirror US Sports, Pastore teased a potential move to the MLS, saying:
"I first need to see if I'm able to come back on the pitch so I'm only focusing on that at this moment. I'm giving maximum effort to ensure I can come back. But MLS is always an opportunity so we'll see."
The Former PSG star concluded:
"I got injured and had hip surgery, so for now I can play but I have about five months to figure out if I can continue. I'd like to play but I need to see if I'm able to at the highest level."
Javier Pastore is currently without a club but appears to be considering a potential move to the MLS where Lionel Messi plies his trade.

Lionel Messi's former also praised MLS franchise owner David Beckham for his stint in the French capital. The South American played alongside the English superstar for the final 14 games of his career and called Beckham a class act.
The former PSG star hailed the impact of the English star on the Parisian team, saying (via the Mirror US Sports):
"Beckham completely changed the way of thinking about soccer in that team. It was completely game-changing his role at Paris Saint-Germain. He was very humble and available with all the other players, he was a huge presence in the locker room."
Pastore declared it was an honor to play alongside the now MLS franchise owner, saying:
"It was an honor to play with him and I learned so much from playing with David."
It remains to be seen if a move to David Beckham's Inter Miami materializes for Pastore where he could reunite with two of his former teammates.
