Veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer had a great night between the sticks as Germany beat Denmark in their Euro 2024 Round-of-16 clash on Saturday, June 29. The game ended in a 2-0 win for Die Mannschaft at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, confirming their spot in the quarter-finals.
Kai Havertz opened the scoring by successfully netting a penalty in the 53rd minute after a handball incident involving Denmark defender Joachim Andersen. Jamal Musiala scored the second in in the 68th minute from an assist by Nico Schlotterbeck.

Julian Nagelsmann on Jamal Musiala after Germany's Euro 2024 Round of 16 win
German head coach Julian Nagelsmann was full of praise for Jamal Musiala after his side's 2-0 win over Denmark. Refering to the 21-year-old winger as "brilliant", the former Bayern Munich manager said (via @FabrizioRomano on X):
"I want Jamal Musiala to keep playing in this magic way, like he’s on a small pitch anywhere in Germany or England… it doesn’t matter. He should play like it’s football with his friends. Don’t think about the pressure, he’s just brilliant at playing football."
