Mykhailo Mudryk could be in hot water with Chelsea after ignoring strict orders from the club - Reports

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk could reportedly be in hot water after ignoring an order from the club that required him to refrain from pushing hard in the gym.

The Ukraine international was reportedly warned about his over-exertion in gym sessions. However, Football Transfers now claim that the 22-year-old forward ignored these requests, which could land him in trouble in the coming weeks.

Mudryk, who was signed for €100 million from Shakhtar Donetsk in January, has had a tough start to life at Stamford Bridge. From his first 25 appearances for the west London outfit, the attacker has managed just one goal and two assists across all competitions.

This season, Mudryk has made three starts in the Premier League out of seven appearances, during which he also managed to net his first goal for the Blues. He scored in the 18th minute of their 2-0 win against Fulham on October 2.

After starting three consecutive league games for Mauricio Pochettino, Mudryk was dropped to the bench for the 4-1 win against Burnley on October 7. It will be interesting to see if the forward is preferred on the flanks in Chelsea's upcoming league fixtures.

"He is simply too inexperienced"- Pundit believes loan move would do well for Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk

Pundit Stan Collymore believes a loan move for Chelsea attacker Mykhailo Mudryk would be a wise decision after reports linked the winger with a short-term exit in January 2024.

Mudryk has struggled since joining Stamford Bridge in January this year, and according to Collymore, the player's inexperience is a major contributing factor. Claiming that the former Shakhtar Donetsk man should go out on loan, he said (via Team Talk):

"There have been some reports that a January loan move for Mykhailo Mudryk could be on the cards. I actually think that’s a great idea.
“Some players can live up to the hype, others can’t, and so far, Mudryk has massively failed. He can still fulfil his potential – he’s only 22 years old but he has to rack up more games before Chelsea can expect him to be their first-choice left winger. He is simply too inexperienced."

The Blues themselves are struggling in the Premier League, placed 11th in the standings after having registered just 11 points from eight matches.

Owing to pressures of performance, manager Mauricio Pochettino may decide to drop Mudryk from the line-up following a couple of poor performances. Hence, a short-term move where he sees more game time is reasonable.
