“New record” - Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez celebrates historic achievement by Al-Nassr superstar
Cristiano Ronaldo's partner, Georgina Rodriguez, posted a celebratory story of her boyfriend's latest achievement on the football pitch.
The former Manchester United striker has continued to excel in the Saudi Pro League following his move to Al-Nassr in January 2023. After bagging a brace against Al-Ittihad on Monday (May 27), in what was his club's final game of the league season, Ronaldo finished with 35 strikes in the competition.
This made him the highest goal scorer ever in a single season of the Saudi Pro League. Following this achievement, Rodriguez took to Instagram to share a story of her partner on the pitch and wrote in the caption:
“New record. Top scorer in the history of the Saudi Pro League."
In the video, the 39-year-old attacker can also be spotted waving back to his partner. The pair met for the first time when Rodriguez worked as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid in 2016.
Since then, the duo have forged a strong bond and now co-parent five children. The Spanish model and social media influencer is often present for Ronaldo's matches and posts about the same on her Instagram account.
Despite the former Real Madrid man's stellar efforts, it wasn't enough to hand his side the league title. Al-Nassr finished second, 14 points behind winners Al-Hilal.
This is the second season running that the Riyadh-based side have lost out on the title by one place.
Georgina Rodriguez reshares Cristiano Ronaldo's celebratory post after Al-Nassr's last match of the season
Cristiano Ronaldo made a celebratory post after Al-Nassr's final league match of the seaosn against Al-Ittihad. However, the ex-Juventus star made sure to remind his team of the challenge ahead.
Although Al-Nassr's league campaign has come to a close, they have an important King Cup of Champions final lined up against Al-Hilal on Friday (May 31). Posting pictures from Monday night's win, Ronaldo wrote:
"This is @alnassr! Let’s go to Jeddah!"
Ronaldo's partner, Georgina Rodriguez, was quick to reshare the post on her Instagram story while tagging the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
After his club season comes to a close, the Portugal captain will be gearing up for the European Championship with his nation, which is set to commence on June 14. Ronaldo has already managed to win the tournament once with Portugal, back in 2016.
