Neymar or Jude Bellingham? Real Madrid star Endrick makes surprise pick when quizzed

New Real Madrid striker Endrick has made his pick between compatriot Neymar and his club teammate Jude Bellingham. The 18-year-old has arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, shortly after turning 18.

Neymar - currently out injured - is one of the top strikers in the world, having spent productive spells at Barcelona and PSG. Meanwhile, Bellingham is one of the game's best young players and enjoyed a fabulous debut season at the Bernabeu after arriving from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

In 42 games across competitions, the 21-year-old contributed 23 goals and 13 assists, helping Los Blancos to three titles, including their second La Liga-UEFA Champions League double in three years.

Endrick - who was unveiled at the Bernabeu - last month chose Jude Bellingham over his compatriot (as per Barca Universal):

"Neymar or Bellingham: Bellingham"

It's pertinent to note that Neymar has been out of action since sustaining a season-ending injury while on Brazil duty in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying. The 32-year-old is the Selecao's all-time top scorer with 79 goals in 128 games since his senior international debut in 2010.

Neymar has played Real Madrid 13 times for two different teams, contributing three goals and seven assists. All three goals and five of those assists came in seven games in La Liga for Barcelona, where he played between 2013 and 2017.

The Brazilian has played Jude Bellingham's current team in four UEFA Champions League games, assisting twice. Both assists came in the 2021-22 edition of the competition while he was with PSG between 2017 and 2013.

Neymar also played Madrid once in the Copa del Rey but registered no goal contribution. Overall, his team won five times against Los Blancos and lost as many times.

The last time he scored against Real Madrid was way back in the 2015-16 La Liga when Barca won 4-0 away, with Neymar bagging a goal and an assist in the rout.

His last goal contribution against them came in the aforementioned Champions League clash as PSG lost 3-1 away in the second leg of the Round of 16 tie despite leading 2-0 on aggregate.
