"One of the most dangerous players" - Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos heaps praise on Barcelona star

Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos has heaped praise on Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal. He believes that the Spain international is one of the most dangerous players in the world right now.

Speaking to the media ahead of Germany's quarterfinal against Spain at EURO 2024, Kroos noted that Yamal had a lot of confidence for a player at the start of his career. He said:

“Lamine has been at Barcelona for a year and the confidence with which he plays is incredible. He is one of the most dangerous players."

Kroos went on to praise Barcelona target Nico Williams, another one of Spain's most important players, and added:

“Spain have very good wingers, Nico is also good and we must defend him together and not play so freely.”

Germany take on Spain in the Euro 2024 quarterfinals on Friday, July 5. The two sides will face off at the MHPArena in Stuttgart for a spot in the semifinal.

Lamine Yamal wants Real Madrid target Nico Williams to join Barcelona

Nico Williams reportedly has a €58 million release clause at Athletic Bilbao, which has seen Barcelona and Real Madrid register their interest (via GOAL).

Lamine Yamal recently spoke about his Spain teammate, expressing his interest in sharing the club's dressing room with Williams. He told Cadena SER:

"Nico is a great player and I hope to be able to share a dressing room with him. Of course, I think he should decide. We get along really well. Since the first call, he has been like that and he is another friend here. He is one of those wingers who confront you, who beat you with speed. He has audacity, can overwhelm anyone, and that helps any team. If I could, I would sign him."

However, Williams is yet to decide on his future. He recently admitted to being happy at Bilbao, telling Spanish outlet COPE:

"I am very happy at Athletic, it is the club that has given me everything, the one that has bet on me 100%. I am very happy in Bilbao and that is all I have to say. Yes, I am quite clear, in the end, as I have told you, Athletic is my home. I am very happy, and what I want to do is focus on the Euros one hundred percent and for the rest I don't know what's going on."

Apart from Barcelona and Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City are also said to be keeping tabs on Nico Williams.
