“One of the dumbest players I’ve ever watched”, “We need him gone” - Fans label Arsenal star as ‘liability’ despite 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest

Fans have taken to social media to label Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus a liability, following their 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest. The Emirates Stadium was filled with celebration and applause as the Gunners clinched all three points in their Premier League match today (November 23).

However, Jesus' performance stood out like a sore thumb for a section of fans. While his teammates were more clinical, the Brazilian striker struggled to impact the game in the final third. He had a few moments of brilliance, especially when combining with the other attackers to create chances. However, aside from creating two chances, he did not have a good game overall.

He had only one shot at goal and it was off-target, he was caught offside twice, and he was also dispossessed twice. He also struggled to bring much physical presence, losing seven duels. His sub-par performance was clear to the fans, and they slammed him on social media platform X with comments like these:

"Some of our fans bashed Lacazette so much only for us to end up with someone more awful in Gabriel Jesus," an Arsenal fan complained.
"Gabriel Jesus has become an absolute liability." another added.
"No longer brings anything. Not even the chaos he used to create inside the opposition box. Brings nothing. Nada." a third agreed.
"Gabriel Jesus gotta be one of the dumbest players I’ve ever watched," this fan was unhappy.
"Gabriel Jesus ain’t a 9 or a false 9. He’s just False," another slammed him.
"How is Gabriel Jesus allowed on a pitch after 75 mins. A nothing performance as usual, wouldn’t get into most PL line ups. We need him gone asap," yet another was insistent.
"Gabriel Jesus needs to visit a shaman. Let the gods identify his problem." a fan said.
"I ask again, what are we still doing this Gabriel Jesus 😭" this fan cried.

Arsenal secure comprehensive 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest

After consistent struggles to score, having managed just one goal in their last three games in all competitions, Arsenal have found their goalscoring form once more. They put three past Nottingham, with Bukayo Saka opening the scoring in the 15th minute.

The second half saw the Gunners extend their lead. Thomas Partey scored a scorcher from distance (52') and Ethan Nwaneri scored a late goal to make it three (86').

Mikel Arteta's men were in control of the proceedings with 66% possession of the ball, while Forest had just 34%. The Gunners' accurate passes helped them maintain possession. They had 538 passes with 91% accuracy, compared to Forest's 239 passes and 81% accuracy.

Arsenal had 19 shots at goal with seven on target, racking up 1.40 xG from those chances. It was much better than Nottingham's seven shots at goal with zero on target, and only 0.40 xG.
