USMNT were knocked out of Copa America 2024 after a 1-0 loss to Uruguay in a Group C game on Monday, July 1. Mathias Olivera scored the only goal of the match (66'), however, the VAR offside call leading up to it left fans questioning the credibility of the technology.
The goal involved an offside controversy and the line drawn by VAR was deemed inconclusive by many, with some fans even feeling that the goal should have been ruled out.
USMNT got knocked out of Copa America 2024 on home soil as a result of the defeat against Uruguay. They finished the campaign with three points from three matches.

The emotions were high as USMNT got knocked out of Copa America 2024 on home soil after the loss to Uruguay. Christian Pulisic was far from happy with the officials and made his feelings known.
In a video percolating through social media, Pulisic could allegedly be seen asking the referee to go and join Uruguay's celebrations. The official then seemingly refused to shake hands with the AC Milan attacker.
Pulisic ended his Copa America 2024 with one goal and one assist. Both of his goal contributions came during USMNT's 2-0 win against Bolivia in their first game.
