England national team captain Harry Kane, who made his senior debut for the Three Lions in 2015, broke several records in their opening match against Serbia in Euro 2024.

Kane became the player with the most appearances for England at the championship. Prior to the match, he and Gary Neville both had 11 appearances. This was also the 30-year-old striker's 23rd appearance for the Three Lions at a major tournament. Earlier, he was tied at 22 with Ashley Cole and Raheem Sterling.

Harry Kane also become the only player to captain the nation in four major tournaments, surpassing Steven Gerrard, David Beckham, Bobby Moore, Bryan Robson, and Billy Wright.
