"Pleasure and a privilege" - Manchester United attacker Cristiano Ronaldo opens up on meeting with 'another GOAT' Tom Brady
Football legend and Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo posted a picture of himself with NFL legend Tom Brady on his social media accounts on Sunday.
The two sporting superstars met after Manchester United's win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday. The Portuguese star scored a hat-trick to hand his team a 3-2 victory.
Brady was earlier seen in the stands applauding the footballer. After the match, the duo met on the pitch and were seen talking for a few minutes.
Ronaldo took to Twitter to post a picture with Brady and labeled him "another GOAT (Greatest of all time)." He captioned the picture:
"Always a pleasure and a privilege to share some thoughts and ideas with another GOATβ¦"
Both superstars are considered one of the best in their respective sports, if not the best. Ronaldo became the greatest goalscorer in football with his hat-trick on Saturday, reaching 807 goals.
He has now scored the most goals for club and country ever in the game, surpassing Josef Bican.
Brady, meanwhile, is a seven-time Super Bowl winner. He announced his retirement from the game only last month after over 20 years of brilliance.
Cristiano Ronaldo helps Manchester United secure a huge win over Tottenham Hotspur
The win on Saturday over Spurs could be a big step in United's push for fourth spot in the Premier League this season.
They are currently in fourth position, two points above Arsenal, who have four games in hand. The Gunners play Leicester City on Sunday.
Spurs, meanwhile, remained seventh after the loss. They are five points away from United but have two games in hand.
Ronaldo's hat-trick also came at an important juncture both individually and for the club. It was important for Manchester United to bounce back after a 4-1 hammering against Manchester City last weekend.

The Portuguese missed the game due to a reported hip injury. He even flew out to Portugal instead of being with the team and had to face criticism from fans and pundits.
They will now turn their attention to their second leg clash against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16 on Tuesday. The first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium ended 1-1.
The Manchester United faithful will hope their star man can build on his hat-trick against Spurs to help them overcome Atletico as well.
