All of the aforementioned names are some of the best midfielders to ever grace the beautiful game. Zidane arguably had the most decorated career, having won the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro, UEFA Champions League, and other trophies. He also won the 1998 Ballon d'Or.

Xavi's achievements can match anybody's in football history, having played for the likes of Barcelona and Spain. Meanwhile, Kaka in his prime was a force of nature with AC Milan and Real Madrid. Beckham, on the other hand, is arguably the greatest set-piece taker ever. Gerrard is a legend of English football in his own right and is one of the best all-round midfielders in Premier League history.

David Beckham once named Zinedine Zidane as his greatest ever teammate

David Beckham has played for clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and more during his career. He was a former England captain as well.

Hence, he has played with a plethora of good players. However, in his eyes, Zinedine Zidane was at the pinnacle of the list. He said to The Times of India:

"Even though I have played with greats like Eric Cantona or Bryan Robson, who was my hero, Roy Keane and Figo, Zizou for me is the ultimate."

The duo were part of the famous Real Madrid side that were known as Galacticos. They played 102 games together, combining for five goals. Apart from the duo, Los Merengues possessed gems like Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Iker Casillas, and more in their ranks.
