Stefano Pioli opens up following Al-Nassr's elimination from King's Cup after Cristiano Ronaldo penalty miss
Al-Nassr head coach Stefano Pioli shared his thoughts after his team was knocked out of the King Cup of Champions following the loss against Al-Taawoun. The Italian tactician explained the reason behind the defeat and said (via @TheNassrZone on X):
"We lost because we couldn't score the chances we had. Al Taawoun scored from a corner kick. On the technical level, we performed well, but not enough to win the match."
While Stefano Pioli acknowledged that he was disheartened by Al-Nassr's elimination from the King's Cup, he remained optimistic about his squad's chances in the upcoming matches. The former AC Milan boss said:
"We feel disappointed to be out of the cup. But we still have two championships and we will give our best in them."
Al-Nassr are pitted against rivals Al Hilal in their next Saudi Pro League clash on November 1 at Al -Awwal Park. Cristiano Ronaldo's side will then face Al Ain in the AFC Champions League on November 5.
