Raphinha reacts after scoring hat-trick for Barcelona in their 4-1 win over Bayern Munich

Barcelona winger Raphinha has spoken after his stunning performance for the LaLiga giants in their 4-1 win over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. He scored three well-taken goals to help his side pick up three points against the German outfit on Wednesday, October 23.

Following rumors of an exit from the club in the summer, Raphinha has been in terrific form since the start of the season. The former Leeds United winger had the armband for the game at Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc as Bayern Munich sought to extend their dominance over the Catalans.

Raphinha was named the Man of the Match and spoke with the media after the game, expressing his delight with the win.

"We played a very good game. We achieved our second victory in the Champions League. It could have been a Champions League final. Winning like this, in front of our fans, is the best. I have no words to describe how we are, I think what we do on the pitch says it all," Raphinha said (via Barca Universal).

Barcelona were excellent in transition against their opponents, who appeared vulnerable defensively. La Blaugrana picked up their second successive win in the competition, having defeated Young Boys in the previous round of games.

Hansi Flick's side were impressive from start to finish in front of their fans as the manager continues to endear himself to the Culers. His captain on the night played a central role in their triumph, but the manager's tactics were spot on against his former club.

Raphinha treble lifts Barcelona over Bayern Munich

The Brazilian forward scored thrice to help Barcelona claim a famous victory over Bayern Munich in their UEFA Champions League meeting. The Catalans put an end to a six-game losing streak against Bayern dating back to 2015.

Barcelona took less than a minute to open the scoring, exposing Bayern Munich's high defensive line to send Raphinha through on goal, who converted from close range. The German side drew level in the 18th minute thanks to a fine Harry Kane volley.

Barca went back in front in the 36th minute as Robert Lewandowski scored against his former side. Their lead was extended on the stroke of half-time as a brilliant cross-field pass from Marc Casado found Raphinha in space, and the Brazilian scored a fine solo effort. He completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute, finishing off a Lamine Yamal pass following another fast break.
