Real Madrid handed major injury boost as key player set to return for UEFA Champions League clash against AC Milan: Reports

Real Madrid have been handed a boost as Antonio Rudiger is set to return against AC Milan, according to a report by Madrid Universal. The Champions League game is scheduled to be played at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, November 5.

Rudiger suffered what seemed to be a muscle injury in Real Madrid's 4-0 loss to Barcelona in gameweek 11 of the 2024-25 LaLiga campaign. However, the German international has fully recovered, and he might be named in the starting XI against the Rossoneri.

Rudiger has been an important player for Carlo Ancelotti at center-back this season. He has scored two goals against Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. Given his outstanding performances in the Champions League, his presence could be key for Los Blancos in their upcoming clash.

Los Blancos have accumulated six points from three games in the 2024-25 Champions League campaign. They defeated Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund, but were beaten by Lille.

On the flip side, AC Milan have secured only three points from three games. Paulo Fonseca's men were defeated by Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen, but they secured a 3-1 win over Club Brugge.

AC Milan will be looking to restore themselves having registered two losses, while Los Blancos will be eager to secure a home victory.

Another player who might be making a return to the squad is Rodrygo, according to Madrid Universal.

Rodrygo sustained a muscle injury in Los Blancos' 5-2 win against Borussia Dortmund in the third round of the 2024-25 Champions League fixtures. His absence in attack was evident during Real Madrid's 4-0 defeat against Barcelona.

However, the Brazilian has recovered and will reportedly feature in Real Madrid's squad to face AC Milan. Rodrygo has netted three goals and registered two assists in 13 appearances this season. His attacking intuition could help Los Blancos in unlocking AC Milan's defense, and he remains an important player in attack.
