Real Madrid legend Gareth Bale names Kylian Mbappe and four current Los Blancos stars in his ultimate 'Rush' EAFC25 five-a-side team
Gareth Bale has named Kylian Mbappe one of four Real Madrid players in a scintillating EAFC25 'Rush' team. EA's new video game was officially released on Friday (September 27), and one of its most exciting new game modes is 'Rush'.
This game mode sees players line up in a five-a-side tournament and is available in Ultimate Team. Bale turned manager in an interview ahead of the game's release and decided which five current stars he'd select.
Bale opted for Thibaut Courtois in goal, Federico Valverde in midfield, and Vinicius Junior and Mbappe in attack. The only non-Real Madrid player selected was Manchester City's Kyle Walker, who he put in defense.
Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius have already forged a formidable partnership at the Santiago Bernabeu. The former arrived in the summer, finally ending years of speculation about a move to Madrid.
The France captain has posted seven goals and one assist in nine games for Los Blancos. This comes after finishing as Paris Saint-Germain's all-time top scorer with 256 goals and 108 assists in 308 games.
Pace is vital in the Rush game mode, and the Frenchman certainly has it in his locker. His teammate Vinicius is the favorite to win the 2024 Ballon d'Or. The Brazilian superstar was unstoppable at times last season, posting 24 goals and 11 assists in 39 games.
Given his sweeping abilities, Courtois would be an astute goalkeeper option. Walker's speed at the back could be vital for Bale and Valverde's vision, which would likely allow Vinicius and Mbappe to wreak havoc.
Gareth Bale prefers Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe to Manchester City's Erling Haaland
Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are viewed as the future of football. They are two stars anticipated to consistently place on the Ballon d'Or podium. The attacking duo has been revelations amid their meteoric rise in European football.
Bale was given the difficult task of choosing between the pair last year. He explained why he prefers Real Madrid's new No.9:
"Mbappe. Just think he has more about his game. Haaland is a great player and a great goalscorer, but Mbappe can kind of carry a team."
Haaland has been Europe's best goalscorer at Manchester City and is in red-hot form this season. The Norweigan superstar has bagged 10 goals in seven games across competitions.
Some argue that Haaland's game only revolves around scoring rather than team-play which Mbappe excels in. The duo are likely to take the Ballon d'Or baton from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for years to come.
