Real Madrid plotting €110 million move for PSG star after El Clasico loss to Barcelona: Reports
Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)'s Warren Zaire-Emery and are willing to pay €110 million for the 18-year-old, as per Fichajes.net.
Los Blancos suffered a shocking 4-0 loss against Hansi Flick's Barcelona at home on Saturday, October 26, in LaLiga. Robert Lewandowski scored a brace (54', 56'), while Lamine Yamal (77') and Raphinha (84') also found the back of the net for Blaugrana in El Clasico.
Real Madrid have been shortlisting central defenders for the upcoming transfer windows. They only have Eder Militao and Antonio Rudiger as first-team options. However, after El Clasico, the LaLiga giants have entered the race to sign French midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery.
Former German midfielder Toni Kroos announced his retirement from professional football after the 2024 European Championships. Meanwhile, aged 39, Luka Modric is nearing retirement at Santiago Bernabeu. Aurelien Tchouameni is being linked with a move away from the Spanish capital.
As a result, Warren Zaire-Emery can become a breakout star at Real Madrid. Zaire-Emery's current contract with PSG will expire in the summer of 2029. The teenager is currently valued at €60 million and his value has been increasing with his performances.
Warren Zaire-Emery, an academy product of Paris Saint-Germain, has made 84 appearances for the senior team, bagging six goals and seven assists across competitions. This season, he has played 10 matches for Les Parisiens in Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League, starting all of them and scoring one goal.
Kylian Mbappe makes unwanted record during Real Madrid's 4-0 loss to Barcelona
During Real Madrid's 4-0 loss to Barcelona on Saturday at Santiago Bernabeu, French superstar Kylian Mbappe was called offside for a record eight times. As per StatMuse FC, that's the most by any player in a single game in the last 10 LaLiga seasons.
Against Hansi Flick's Barcelona, Mbappe had a passing accuracy of 100% (13/13) and he also created a chance. However, the 25-year-old missed two big chances and completed only one out of his four attempted dribbles. Additionally, he lost four out of the five duels, and gave no accurate crosses from his two attempts.
Kylian Mbappe joined the Santiago Bernabeu outfit earlier this year on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Since joining the LaLiga giants, the Frenchman has made 14 appearances across all competitions, bagging eight goals and two assists.
