Real Madrid plotting audacious move for Chelsea star, with Blues set to make stunning demands: Reports
Spanish giants Real Madrid have set their sights on Chelsea's budding superstar Cole Palmer as their next 'Galactico' addition, as per reports from Fichajes.net (via Team Talk). England international Palmer has taken the world by storm in just a year and a half at Stamford Bridge, establishing himself as one of the best in Europe.
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City for a reported £42.5 million, a fee that seemed to be eye-watering at the time due to his lack of experience. Nearly 16 months down the line, that fee appears to have been a bargain as the 22-year-old has surpassed every expectation at the club.
Cole Palmer's ascent to the top of English football has not gone unnoticed, and Real Madrid are willing to repeat what they did with Eden Hazard in 2019 with him. Los Blancos consider the talented midfielder as a long-term target, and will not rush with their interest in him.
Chelsea have all the leverage in the world, seeing as Palmer is contracted to the club until 2033, having penned an extension at the start of the 2024-25 season. The reigning Premier League Young Player of the Year will cost well over £100 million if the Spanish outfit were to make a move to sign him.
Palmer has been in fine form for the Blues this year, registering 38 league goal contributions, more than any player has done in a calendar year for the club. He also became the youngest player in the club's history to reach 50 goal contributions in the Premier League, doing so at 22 years and 216 days old.
Cole Palmer's playmaking and goalscoring ability will make him an asset if he plays alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr at the Santiago Bernabeu. Having seen him score against Spain in the Euro 2024 final earlier this year, Real Madrid have him firmly in their sights.
Chelsea set sights on Real Madrid target - Reports
Chelsea have reportedly set their sights on the potential addition of Brazilian centre-back Vitor Reis, who is also on the radar of Real Madrid, from Palmeiras. Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed that the Blues are interested in the teenager, who has impressed this year (via Tribal Football).
Palmeiras sold Endrick to Real Madrid and Estevao Willian to Chelsea in recent transfer windows, and both sides are keen on doing business with the Brazilian outfit once more. 18-year-old Vitor Reis has been the side's breakout star this year, making 18 league appearances for the club.
The Premier League side have continued to sign many of the world's elite youngsters as they look to build a squad of world-beaters. With Reis contracted to Palmeiras until 2028, the Blues will need to spend big money to land the teenager.
