Real Madrid star asks to leave but Los Blancos receive no offers - Reports
Real Madrid are yet to receive any offers for midfielder Dani Ceballos despite his desire to move away from the club this summer. The Spanish midfielder is seeking a move elsewhere owing to his status as a fringe player for the European champions.
Spanish giants Real Madrid have one of the deepest squads in Europe, as is evidenced by the quality of players at their disposal. Because of this depth, Spain international Ceballos has found it difficult to feature regularly for the side, with others often preferred ahead of him.
Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti has often opted for the likes of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurelien Tchouameni in midfield ahead of Ceballos. In the advanced positions, the Italian manager prefers Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham.
Journalist Guillermo Rai has revealed that Dani Ceballos has indeed asked to leave the club this summer, but no bids have arrived. The journalist reports that the club are prepared to grant the request of the 28-year-old midfielder and will wait for an offer before the end of the transfer window.
Ceballos was limited to just 20 league appearances for his club in the 2023-24 season and provided two assists. The former Real Betis man is contracted to the club until 2027 having signed a new contract in 2023, and will not be sold for cheap.
With Kroos gone, it is expected that more minutes would be available for Ceballos in the middle of the park, but pre-season has shown otherwise. Ancelotti has tested highly rated 19-year-old star Arda Guler in a midfield role, further implying that he will play ahead of Ceballos.
Real Madrid to turn down world-record bid for superstar - Reports
Real Madrid are prepared to turn down a world-record offer from Saudi Arabia for superstar forward Vinicius Jr this summer. The Spanish giants have received information of an impending offer for their Brazilian forward this summer, and are prepared to reject any approaches.
Diario AS reports that Al-Ahli are prepared to offer around €400 million to sign Vinicius Jr this summer after a terrific 2023-24 season. The forward scored 24 goals across all competitions, as he led his club to win the UEFA Champions League and LaLiga crowns.
Real Madrid will turn down the offer from Saudi Arabia, as they intend to keep their star forward at the Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos will insist that the release clause of the forward, which stands at €1 billion, be paid before any conversations can be held, according to the report.
