Real Madrid Transfer News Roundup: Los Blancos confident of Leny Yoro deal, AC Milan want Arda Guler, and more - July 11, 2024

Real Madrid have enjoyed a steady rise in Carlo Ancelotti's second stint at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Italian manager returned to the club in 2021 and has propelled them to the pinnacle of success.

Meanwhile, Los Blancos are confident of securing the services of Leny Yoro. Elsewhere, AC Milan have set their sights on Arda Guler.

On that note, let's look at the major Real Madrid transfer stories from July 11, 2024.

Real Madrid confident of Leny Yoro deal, says Fabrizio Romano

Real Madrid remain confident of taking Leny Yoro to the Santiago Bernabeu, according to acclaimed journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The French defender's contract with Lille expires in 2025 and he hasn't signed a new deal yet.

Los Blancos remain hot on his heels, but are reluctant to match the Ligue 1 club's exorbitant asking price for the 18-year-old. Recent reports have suggested that Manchester United have already agreed a deal with Lille for Yoro.

However, in his column for Caught Offside, Romano stressed that the player is yet to make a decision on his future.

"Man United are offering big money to Lille to anticipate all the other clubs, but now the decision is for Yoro. Lille hope he will decide to go Old Trafford, but Real Madrid are still there, they are still confident and feel they are in control. Why? Because Real Madrid have been very clear – the only way to close the deal is on their conditions, they will not over-pay for Yoro when he’s due to be out of contract next summer," wrote Romano.

The transfer guru went on to add that the La Liga giants are willing to wait for the player to become available in a Bosman move next summer.

“Real Madrid are ready to wait to get the deal done on their terms, or to even close the deal on a free transfer next summer because they know Yoro will not sign a new deal, and that he wants to join Real Madrid," wrote Romano.
“Now it’s on Yoro and his decision – will he accept Man United or wait for Real Madrid? Real Madrid know that Yoro’s dream is to play for them, and also Man United won’t wait forever because they are also looking at other centre-backs and they don’t want this to be something that drags on throughout the summer," he added.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) also have a long-term interest in the French defender.

AC Milan want Arda Guler

AC Milan are keen to take Arda Guler on loan this summer, according to SPORT.

The Turkish midfielder has earned rave reviews with his performances at Euro 2024 and is attracting attention this summer.

Guler arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu from Fenerbahce last summer but was sidelined for the first half of the season with injuries. He failed to break into Carlo Ancelotti's team once he regained fitness, finishing the campaign with six goals from 12 games across competitions.

Given the intense competition for places under the Italian manager, Guler's situation might not improve next season. The Rossoneri are now offering him a route to regular football. The Serie A giants enjoy a cordial relationship with their Spanish counterparts and previously found great success with a temporary move for Brahim Diaz.

The Spaniard spent three seasons at San Siro, which aided his overall development. The Italian club are hoping to repeat the trick with Guler.

Los Blancos, however, are not too keen to let him go, as they have very high hopes for the Turkish international. The 19-year-old isn't looking to leave either and wants to fight for his place under Ancelotti.

Fran Garcia's future depends on Alphonso Davies

Fran Garcia's future at Real Madrid will depend on the club's pursuit of Alphanso Davies, according to AS.

The Spanish left-back arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu last year but has failed to set the stage alight so far.

Garcia registered one goal and six assists from 31 games across competitions last season, dropping behind Ferland Mendy as the season progressed. With Los Blancos firmly in the race for Davies at the moment, Garcia's future remains in the air.

The Canadian has entered the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich and hasn't agreed to a new deal yet. The Bavarians remain keen to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena but are running out of time.

The La Liga giants are monitoring the situation with interest. While they would like to get their hands on the 23-year-old this summer, a Bosman move next year will also be welcome.

Davies' arrival could mark the end of Garcia's time at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Carlo Ancelotti likely to prefer Mendy to stay.
