“Rest up, kid” - Barcelona ace Lamine Yamal silences Real Madrid TikToker with savage reply after win over Bayern Munich

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal responded to a Real Madrid fan on TikTok after the Catalan side's 4-1 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday (October 23). Yamal delivered an assist in the game.

At half-time, Barcelona were leading 3-1 courtesy of a brace by Raphinha (1' and 45') and Robert Lewandowski finding the back of the net (36'). During this period, a Real Madrid fan, Javi Bridge on TikTok, took a jibe at the teenager for his performance. In a video addressed to his 1.8 million followers, he said (via GOAL):

“Has anyone seen Lamine Yamal? For me he's good, but in games against Bayern, you cules think this guy is going to score a goal. Today he's not going to score a goal. He's disappeared.”

Although Yamal did not score vs Bayern, the 17-year-old delivered a beautiful assist to Raphinha (56') in the second half. After receiving a pass from Pedri, Yamal spotted Raphinha making the run on the left. The Spaniard produced an inch-perfect lobbed through-ball to the Brazilian, who found the net to finish his hat-trick.

After the game, Yamal responded to the TikToker Javi Bridge on the platform, commenting (translated from Spanish via GOAL):

"Rest up, kid."

Yamal's comments come ahead of Barcelona facing their archrivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday (October 26). The Catalan giants have lost their last four official games against Los Blancos.

Despite not scoring, Lamine Yamal was exceptional in his 85 minutes of gameplay against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Aside from his assist, he maintained an 84% passing accuracy, made two key passes and created one big chance.

In the post-match conference after Barcelona's 4-1 win against Bayern Munich, La Masia graduate Lamine Yamal shared his thoughts on facing rivals Real Madrid in an away game this weekend. He said (via Barca Universal):

"Before this [vs Bayern Munich] match we were already feeling very confident, we believe we are the best team in the world, and I think we are proving it. We will go with all our strength, and may the best team win."

Rising from the ranks of Barca's academy, La Masia, Lamine Yamal made his senior team debut in LaLiga under former coach Xavi in April 2023. The Spaniard was subbed on in the 83rd minute for Gavi in La Blaugrana's 4-0 win against Real Betis. He was 15 years old at that time.

In 64 appearances for Barcelona, Yamal has recorded 12 goals and 16 assists across competitions. He has made three appearances against Real Madrid so far but is yet to score or assist against them. The Spaniard has been in excellent form this season with five goals and seven assists in 13 appearances across competitions. It remains to be seen if he scores his first goal against Los Blancos this weekend.
