"Rip up his contract and give it to Salah", "Biggest flop we’ve ever had" - Fans want Liverpool star sold following 3-3 draw against Newcastle

Liverpool fans on X have blasted Darwin Nunez, with a large section wanting him sold, after his underwhelming performance against Newcastle United. The Reds were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw in their Premier League clash at St. James' Park on Wednesday, December 4.

Newcastle started on the front foot and took a deserved lead going into half time when Alexandar Isak unleashed an unstoppable shot from distance in the 35th minute. However, Curtis Jones leveled the scores with a smart finish in the 50th minute.

Anthony Gordon restored the Magpies' lead 12 minutes later. But this was shortlived as Mohamed Salah netted an exceptional brace (68', 83') to turn the tide in Liverpool's favor. Unfortunately for the Reds, Fabian Schar scored from a tight angle to make it 3-3 after Caoimhin Kelleher opted not to catch the ball following a free-kick (90').

Nunez led the line for Liverpool, playing all 90 minutes. However, he struggled against Newcastle, completing just eight passes with an accuracy of 67 percent. The 25-year-old also created zero chances, landed no shots on target from an attempted three - missing two big chances in the process, and lost seven duels.

The Uruguay international has been poor for the Reds this season, garnering three goals and two assists in 18 appearances across competitions.
