“Rivals love ending title dreams” - Harry Redknapp makes bold scoreline prediction for Tottenham vs Arsenal

Harry Redknapp has backed Tottenham Hotspur to secure a point in their upcoming Premier League fixture against Arsenal on Sunday (April 28).

The Gunners are in the midst of a heated title race against Manchester City, leading the league table by a point. The Cityzens are sat in second place but have a game in hand over the north Londoners while Liverpool trail three points behind in third.

Arsenal have been in exceptional league form in 2024, having lost just one game this calendar year, and require all three points against Tottenham to stay in the title race.

Redknapp believes the Lilywhites can hold the Gunners to a 2-2 draw as they seek a top-four spot this season. The former Tottenham manager told Bet Victor (as quoted by Metro):

"Here we go, what a game this should be! Tottenham have been involved in so many thrillers this season and this should be no different. Spurs have some massive fixtures to end the season, none bigger than this. Can they derail Arsenal’s title charge?"
"As bad as Chelsea were during the week, I thought Arsenal were exceptional at times. Some of the passes and moves they had were just a joy to watch. This looks like the biggest test for them on paper. Win this, and that could be them on the verge."

Referring to Arsenal's iconic Invincibles win in 2004 when they secured the golden Premier League trophy at White Hart Lane, Redknapp added:

"We saw during the week that rivals love ending title dreams. There will be Spurs fans at this game who remember when Arsenal won the league at White Hart Lane, they’ll be so up for this one."
"I think Spurs have it in them to get something here. 2-2!"

The Gunners have recorded 24 wins, five draws, and five losses in the English top tier this term.

"A joy to watch" - Harry Redknapp heaps praise on Arsenal star ahead of Tottenham clash

Redknapp singled out Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard for praise ahead of the north London derby, stating that he's one of the best in the world in his position. He said:

"Martin Odegaard was absolutely brilliant during the week, a joy to watch with the ball at his feet. There’s not many better in the country than this fella when he’s in that mood."

Odegaard has been in exceptional form for the Gunners this season and has played an instrumental role for Mikel Arteta's side.

The Norway international has made 31 Premier League starts and eight Champions League starts for the north Londoners. He has contributed 11 goals and nine assists in 44 appearances across competitions this term.
