"Rodrygo really took R9's talent", "Only scoring goalazos" - Twitter erupts as slick Real Madrid cruise to victory vs Cadiz

Rodrygo's delightful double sent Real Madrid on their way to a 3-0 victory against Cadiz on Sunday (November 26).

The Brazilian forward fired Los Blancos into the lead in the 14th minute with a sumptuous solo effort. He nutmegged Spanish midfielder Alex Fernandez drove further inside the box and curled a fine effort home.

Cadiz looked to equalize in the 39th minute when Roger Marti tried his luck at goal with a fierce effort. But, Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin did well to deny the Spanish forward.

Joselu squandered a solid chance in the 54th minute after more fine play from Rodrygo. The Brazil international was shining at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.

The 22-year-old grabbed a brace in the 64th minute and it was more solo wizardry from the speedy attacker. He beat three Cadiz defenders before easily placing past Argentine goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma.

Sergio Gonzalez's men nearly got on the scoresheet five minutes later through former Valencia striker Maxi Gomez. The Uruguayan should have done better with his effort which was easily denied by Lunin.

Jude Bellingham then marked his return from injury with a goal to continue his unbelievable start at Real Madrid. The English superstar was found by Rodrygo and he slotted home his side's third of the night in the 74th minute.

It was a comfortable night for Carlo Ancelotti's men who rise to the top of the La Liga table for the time being. Second-placed Girona, who are a point behind them, face Athletic Club tomorrow.

All the plaudits rightfully went Rodrygo's way, with one fan suggesting he's taken Los Merengues icon Ronaldo Nazario's talent:

"Rodrygo really took R9’s talent."

Another fan hailed all of Madrid's goals:

"Today Real Madrid are only scoring GOALAZOS. I missed first half. Rodrygo is back. Bellingham is back. I am back. Everyone is back."

Here's how fans on X (formerly Twitter) reacted to a superb showing from Real Madrid as they romped to victory over Cadiz:

Neymar sends Real Madrid star Rodrygo a message of support after he revealed he received racist abuse

Rodrygo revealed he suffered racist abuse online after Brazil's 1-0 defeat to Argentina in a FIFA World Cup qualifier. The Real Madrid winger got into an altercation with Lionel Messi prior to the controversial game that was marred by fan and police violence.

The former Santos youngster posted a statement on X, condemning the abuse he received:

"My social networks have been invaded with insults and all kinds of nonsense. If we don’t do what they want, if we don’t behave as they think we should, if we wear something that bothers them, if we don’t lower our heads when we are attacked, if we occupy spaces that they think is theirs, racists take action with all this criminal behaviour."

Former Barcelona star Neymar sent his Brazil teammate a message of support amid the vile abuse he's received. The injured Al-Hilal superstar posted a picture of the Los Blancos star with the caption (via GOAL):

"Teu brilho incomoda Nao pare nunca! (Your shine bothers them; don’t ever stop)."

He isn't the first Real Madrid player to receive racist abuse as Vinicius Junior has been the victim of racism. He was visibly upset when he received monkey chants from Valencia fans in a 1-0 loss at the Mestalla last season.
