Rapper Aitch hilariously told a barber to 'shut up' on Instagram when promoting Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo's new haircut. The England wonderkid has changed his look ahead of the pre-season.
The barber (@Grumpy_Smokedd) posted a video of Mainoo in the barber's chair with his new haircut. The Red Devils midfielder has a fresh look after suffering heartbreak with the Three Lions at Euro 2024.
Kobbie Mainoo is spun around on the chair while the barber gives somewhat bizarre commentary. His tone is appropriate, given his name, 'Grumpy' as he moans about the 19-year-old snapping a picture of his new haircut.
Aitch took umbrage at the barber's constant chatter in the comments section. The Manchester United fan wrote:
"Oi shut up talking bare man let me just Pree the trim."
Kobbie Mainoo's new look is trendy and stylish, matching his performance at Euro 2024. The English teenager was excellent when Gareth Southgate brought him into the starting XI in Germany. The Three Lions made it to the final but lost 2-1 to Spain.
The Red Devils academy graduate has a senior season under his belt after enjoying a breakout 2023-24 campaign. He will no doubt be a major player for Erik ten Hag next season, donning a new look.
Aitch and Kobbie Mainoo both idolize Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney
Aitch and Kobbie Mainoo share the same admiration for Manchester United's all-time top scorer, Wayne Rooney. The 'Buss Down' rapper couldn't choose between Wazza, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Paul Scholes when asked by KISS who his favorite Red Devils player growing up was:
"Rooney, Scholes and Ronaldo can't really tell you between them three but it changes all the time. Ronaldo, Rooney and Scholes are the main three."
Mainoo is similarly a massive fan of Rooney and touched on his childhood watching the Manchester United hero on YouTube. He said during Euro 2024 (via Sky Sports):
"Obviously growing up as a United fan Rooney (was my idol)."
Rooney is one of the Red Devils' all-time greatest players, having posted 253 goals and 139 assists in 559 games. He won 17 major trophies at Old Trafford and was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame in 2022.
Mainoo is experiencing a similar rise to Rooney at club and international level. He's tipped to become a United legend and a vital member of England's national team for years to come.
