"Streets know who the true GOAT is" - Fans react as 2024 Olympics 20km race walk gold medal winner replicates Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic celebration

Fans have reacted to a viral photo of an Olympic athlete replicating Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic 'Siuuu' celebration. Daniel Pintado, an Ecuadorian athlete at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic, celebrated winning a gold medal in the 20km race walk by hitting the Portuguese's trademark celebration.

In a post by Pubity Sport on X (formerly Twitter), the athlete can be seen celebrating his medal win. With his chest pushed out and arms outstretched wide, he emulated Ronaldo's iconic celebration in front of the Eiffel Tower.

The 'Siuu' celebration is Ronaldo's signature goal celebration. Whenever he scores, he runs, jumps, and then turns with his arms outstretched, before shouting the word ‘siuuuu!’ as he lands.

The iconic celebration has now become a favorite for fans and followers of the 39-year-old who mimic the celebration in moments of success. Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most influential sportsmen in the world and fans on social media were quick to react to this latest imitation of his trademark celebration outside of football.

One fan on X highlighted that Ronaldo's status as one of the greatest of all time is recognized outside of football.

"The streets know who the true goat is," he wrote.

A second fan pointed out that the Al-Nassr star has an unmatched influence. He commented:

"Ecuador’s Brian Pintado hit the ‘siuuu’ celebration after taking the Men’s 20km Race Walking gold medal at the Olympics. Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence is unmatched."

Other fans juxtaposed Ronaldo's influence to that of Messi, claiming that the Portuguese is more influential than his Argentine rival.

"Messi can never have influence like Goat Ronaldo," one fan commented.
"Not still a reference to Messi in the Euros. A robbed World Cup can’t earn you respect," another fan chimed in.
