"That’s where I’m most comfortable" - Arsenal target confirms desire to stay with current club this summer

Arsenal target Martin Zubimendi has poured cold water on reports of a potential move this summer. The Spaniard is highly rated and a reported transfer target not just for the Gunners but for Bayern Munich and Barcelona as well.

The 25-year-old is an integral part of Real Sociedad, making 188 appearances across competitions, scoring eight times and assisting seven. Zubimendi remains committed to his boyhood club and doesn't seem eager to leave the club anytime soon, which will come as a relief to the club's fans.

The midfielder said his future and where he will be playing next season, via Futbol Espana:

“Where am I going to play next season? I’m going to be at Real Sociedad. I have a contract with Real Sociedad, and that’s where I’m most comfortable.”

Arsenal will hope to convince the midfielder to change his mind as they target him in the transfer window. However, Zubimendi is unlikely to make a decision until after the conclusion of Euro 2024 on July 14.

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka makes confident claim after England's penalty shootout success

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has revealed that he has never doubted himself following his commanding performance for England against Switzerland. The Gunners star scored the equalising goal for his country and converted his penalty in the ensuing shootout to banish the ghosts of his Euro 2020 final miss against Italy.

Speaking to SkySports in the aftermath of his performance in Dusseldorf, Saka said:

"I think for me it's something I embrace. You can fail once but you have a choice whether you put yourself in that position again or not. I'm a guy who is going to put myself in that position. I believed in myself.
"When I saw the ball hit the net, I was a very happy man. I'm not going to be focusing on the past. That's done. I can only focus on now and taking a penalty. Of course I know there's a lot of nervous people watching, my family included, and in the crowd. But I kept my cool and I scored."

The Arsenal star will be keen to continue his impressive performances as the Three Lions seek a first trophy in 58 years.
