"The sky is the limit for him" – Chelsea star Noni Madueke highlights key reason behind 'phenomenal' Cole Palmer's superb performances

Chelsea forward Noni Madueke has showered huge praise on club teammate Cole Palmer, revealing the secret behind the attacking midfielder's stellar performances.

Palmer, who won the 2023-24 Premier League Young Player of the Season award, has opened the ongoing campaign on a excellent note. The 22-year-old has netted six goals and five assists in seven league outings for Enzo Maresca's side, helping them sit in fourth spot.

After Palmer was named England Men's Player of the Year, Madueke provided his two cents on the Manchester City youth product. He told reporters (h/t Mirror):

"Cole is a very unique player... a type of player who doesn't feel pressure, in the most pressurised situations. I feel Cole's unique in the sense he can just go on the pitch, play the game, have fun, play the game to enjoy it and he'll produce anyway. That's just him."

Hailing his Chelsea teammate, the ex-PSV Eindhoven star added:

"Listen, Cole is a phenomenal player. In terms of the best player in the world? I don't know if I should be the one to decide that. But I think the sky is the limit for him. I don't know if he has a ceiling. I don't know what his ceiling is but I feel like the form that he's showing now is incredible."

Palmer, who helped Manchester City win seven trophies, has cemented himself as one of the best Premier League stars since joining Chelsea in 2023. He has netted 31 goals and laid out 20 assists in 54 overall outings for his club since arriving in a £42.5 million transfer.

Chelsea winger excited about prospect of linking up with Blues ace for national side

At a recent press conference, Noni Madueke revealed that he is looking forward to combining well with Chelsea star Cole Palmer for England. He said (h/t Mirror):

"It would be fun if we can get to play with each other for England. We just bounce off each other. I think we have a similar outlook on things. We have a good connection. We've been playing with each other for a very long time now. We are very good friends off the pitch, so he probably looks for me a lot, just as I look for him. He's got a killer pass and I'm very dynamic, so I think it just works."

Madueke, who is a former Tottenham Hotspur youth star, has played alongside the former Manchester City man 55 times. He has shared the pitch with the playmaker at a number of age-group teams for England.

So far this season, Madueke has scored four times in six Premier League matches for Chelsea. The 22-year-old winger has also netted once in two UEFA Conference League qualifying matches.
