Manchester United took a bold decision by appointing Ruben Amorim as their new head coach on Friday, November 1. After former manager Erik Ten Hag was sacked on Monday, October 28, United were said to be in talks with Amorim from Sporting CP as his potential replacement.
The news has been, understandably, received with a lot of fervor by the supporters of the club, who have been deprived of success for far too long. The Red Devils currently find themselves in the 14th spot of the EPL table at the moment with a mere 11 points inside their kitty. They have only scored eight goals this campaign.
Several supporters of the club welcomed this appointment, saying that it is bound to leave a positive mark. Some even went as far as to say that Amorim would bring the glory days of Manchester United back with his astute tactical nous. The Portuguese manager has won two Primeira Liga titles with Sporting.

These supporters felt that Amorim was not quite the manager United needed, while some even said that the 39-year-old was making the wrong choice by leaving Sporting.

Ruben Amorim has joined Manchester United till 2027
Manchester United announced that Ruben Amorim has joined the club till 2027, with an option to extend his contract for another year. However, he has been asked to fulfill his current commitments with Sporting CP first.
As a result, Amorim will join the Red Devils on November 11. His first game in charge of the club will be an away trip to Ipswich Town, who are managed by former United player and coach Kieran McKenna.
