“The squad is closed” - Carlo Ancelotti delivers definitive statement on Real Madrid transfers

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Los Blancos' business for the summer transfer window has already concluded. The Italian manager insisted that the club have no plans to sign more players and are not looking to sell anyone either.

The Spanish capital club enjoyed a brilliant summer transfer window this time. They secured the much-awaited signing of Kylian Mbappe for free while also welcoming Brazilian wonderkid Endrick. Spanish striker Joselu joined Qatari club Al-Gharafa whereas long-time servant Nacho also left the club for Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiyah.

Real Madrid enjoyed a stellar season last time, as they won the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and the Supercopa de Espana. On top of that, they have strengthened their squad. Carlo Ancelotti recently said they are done in the transfer market for this time.

Ancelotti noted that David Alaba and Jesus Vallejo are both recovering well from their injuries and ruled out any exits. The Los Blancos boss said, as quoted by Madrid Xtra on X (formerly Twitter):

"The squad is closed. We won't sign anyone. Vallejo is back and Alaba is recovering. I think there won't be departures because no one wants to leave."

Despite Toni Kroos retiring and Nacho leaving, Los Blancos will certainly have a stronger squad on paper ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Real Madrid legend hails the club's summer signing

Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos has lavished praise on his compatriot Endrick following the Brazilian sensation's switch to the Santiago Bernabeu. The wonderkid completed his switch to the Spanish capital club from Palmeiras after turning 18 on July 21, 2024.

After his unveiling on July 27, former Real Madrid left-back Carlos tipped the youngster for a bright future. Hailing him as 'complete', the Brazil great said, as quoted by Madrid Xtra on X:

"Power, speed, intelligence. A complete player. Young and complete."

Endrick has already won 10 caps for Brazil at his tender age and has scored three times in the process. Capable of playing anywhere in the front three, he is most comfortable as a number nine.

The youngster made 82 appearances for his boyhood club Palmeiras, scoring 21 goals and providing four assists. Despite his immense potential, the Brazilian prodigy could struggle for regular minutes following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.
