“There might be goals in this, definitely” - Ray Parlour makes bold score prediction for Manchester United vs Chelsea

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has had his say on what the scoreline for Chelsea will be against Manchester United on Sunday. The two teams take each other on in a prime Premier League clash at Old Trafford on November 3.

Manchester United lost their previous Premier League match 1-2 against West Ham United last weekend while Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw by title favorites Liverpool. While Manchester United are currently at a lowly 14th in the league table with 11 points, Chelsea are fifth with 17 points. Former United manager Erik ten Hag was sacked by the club on Monday, October 28.

Now, Parlour, who spent 12 years at Arsenal, has predicted a 2-2 scoreline for this match on TalkSPORT (via Chelsea Chronicle).

“This is going to be an interesting game this weekend. I’ve gone 2-2. I think there might be goals in this, definitely. I think Ruud [van Nistelrooy] will go out and try to score that first goal; get this crowd right behind them. But Chelsea are dangerous. I mean [Cole] Palmer is on fire again.” said Parlour.

United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was on Ten Hag's coaching staff as an assistant coach, has been appointed as the interim head coach by the Red Devils. His first game in charge was against Leicester City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, October 31, which United won 5-2.

Chelsea beat Manchester United last time around in the Premier League

Manchester United, who have sunk to new lows this season, have scored just eight goals this campaign as opposed to conceding 11. The last time they clashed with Chelsea in the Premier League, in April this year, the Blues won 4-3.

Chelsea, under new manager Enzo Maresca, appear to be revitalised this season and display immense stability. Their attackers are in fine fettle this campaign, having already found the back of the net on 19 occasions while the team has conceded 11 goals.
