“This partnership has everything" - Cristiano Ronaldo’s former Juventus teammate Douglas Costa explains his decision to join OxxyFans
Cristiano Ronaldo's former Juventus teammate, Douglas Costa, explained his decision to join OnlyFans in a recent interview. The Brazilian winger played alongside the legendary striker for two seasons in Turin between 2018 and 2020 after arriving from Bayern Munich for €40 million.
The Brazilian made 54 appearances during that time, scoring four goals and providing eight assists to help the Italian giants to consecutive Serie A titles, a Copa Italia, and the Italian Super Cup.
Speaking about his decision to join the site with The Sydney Morning Herald, Douglas Costa said:
“I decided to join OnlyFans because I believe in the company’s credibility and potential for global reach. Together, this partnership has everything to be very interesting and successful. The segment in which OnlyFans seeks to have athletes as brand ambassadors greatly impacts the market, and I am more than happy to be part of it, especially as one of the pioneers in the soccer segment."
He went on to outline what he hoped to give his fans on the site, saying:
“As an OnlyFans creator, I will create exclusive content for my fans that they won’t be able to see on any other social media, and it will make a great difference. I hope this partnership will be lasting and I can make my fans happy with my content.”
Douglas Costa recently signed for Australian outfit Sydney FC after a six-month stint with Fluminense in his native Brazil.
When Douglas Costa revealed he had doubts about Cristiano Ronaldo when he first joined Juventus
Back in March 2019, former Juventus winger Douglas Costa revealed he initially had doubts about how Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival would affect the Bianconeri dressing room. The legendary Portuguese star joined the Italian giants for €117 million from Real Madrid after a nine-year stint that saw him bag 450 goals in 438 games.
Speaking with the YouTube channel De Sola, Costa said (via The Bleacher Report):
"Believe it or not, but when Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival was being talked about, I asked 'what will the dressing room be like?' We all have to love each other as team-mates because we're all looking for a place in the team—but Cristiano won everyone over very quickly."
He added:
"He's a simple, hardworking guy who likes to win. Juventus were looking for a player with his mentality, so he's given us a lot. When he arrived, I thought 'the best player in the world has joined, right?' As soon as he arrived, the club improved in every aspect. His contribution has been noticeable. He scores goals every week, he's brought more fans to the stadium, and we hope to win things with him so we make history with him by our side."
Cristiano Ronaldo currently plies his trade for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, where he has scored 62 goals from 68 matches across competitions.
