"Threw Jude under the bus for Ballon d'Or" "Ruined a perfect game" - Fans slam Real Madrid star after surrendering 3-goal lead in 4-4 Villareal draw

Real Madrid fans on X have blasted Eder Militao after he struggled in their 4-4 draw against Villarreal at El Madrigal. Despite leading 4-1 at one stage, Los Blancos squandered their three-goal advantage with Alexander Sorloth scoring four goals on Sunday, May 19.

Sorloth nearly gave the hosts the lead in the seventh minute, hitting the bar from 25 yards out. However, Real Madrid quickly responded, taking a 2-0 lead via Arda Guler (14') and Joselu (30').

Sorloth headed home to half the deficit nine minutes later only for Los Blancos to restore their two-goal advantage a minute later through Lucas Vasquez. Guler then made it 4-1 in stoppage time with a good finish.

Real Madrid weren't prepared for Villarreal in the second half as Sorloth scored another header, getting the better of Militao, in the 48th minute. The 28-year-old completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute after finishing past Andriy Lunin, leaving a helpless Militao on the ground.

Sorloth nearly scored again in the 54th minute with his header going wide but wasn't to be denied in the 56th minute, making it 4-4, and leaving Real Madrid shellshocked.

Militao was ineffective at center-back, completing zero out of his three attempted tackles. He also lost six duels and was unable to cope with Sorloth's pressure before being replaced by Nacho in the 61st minute.
