Fans react as Cristiano Ronaldo returns to action with being named in Al-Nassr's starting XI for the Saudi Super Cup semi-final.

The Knights of the Najd will play against Al-Taawoun on Wednesday, August 14 at Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium.

The Portuguese icon was on vacation after the Euro 2024 campaign, due to which he missed all of Al-Nassr's pre-season matches where the Riyadh-based club failed to bag a win.

Fans took to social media and flooded with posts sharing their opinions on Cristiano Ronaldo starting for the Saudi Super Cup semi-final clash. While some fans were excited to have the 39-year-old captain back on the pitch, some wished him the best and some were hopeful about Al Nassr's chances.

Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a message ahead of the Knights of the Najd's Saudi Super Cup clash against Al-Taawoun. Taking to social media, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner shared pictures of himself and his club teammates in training, on Instagram on Tuesday, August 13. The caption read:

Last season, Ronaldo scored 44 goals and provided 13 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions for Al-Nassr. Overall, he has recorded 58 goals and 15 assists in 64 matches since his arrival at the Saudi Pro League side in 2023 following his second stint at Manchester United.

Cristiano Ronaldo's side are pitted against Al-Raed in their first Saudi Pro League fixture in the 2024-2025 season on August 22 at Al-Awwal Stadium.
