Tottenham star expects Manchester United offer next summer: Reports
Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro and his entourage are 'convinced' that Manchester United will try to sign him in the next summer transfer window, according to reports from Football 365. The defender has been in good form for Spurs this season and impressed on the flanks.
The Spaniard has made two goal contributions in the Premier League for Spurs this season (one goal and one assist) while doubling down at the back and helping his team keep two clean sheets. Porro's pace and versatility on the right-hand side of Spurs' defense has made him a household name in England.
Due to his improved performances in the EPL, Porro has been linked with several clubs across Europe. However, his entourage believes that Manchester United could come calling as early as next summer given that they are now headed by Porro's former boss at Sporting CP, Ruben Amorim.
Porro made 98 appearances for Sporting across two spells - one on loan and one permanent - and even scored 12 goals for them. The defender will be keen on reuniting with his former head coach and hopes that he gets the call to play under him once again, albeit at the Theatre of Dreams, aka Old Trafford, this time.
Tottenham Hotspur will not take less than 70m Euros for Pedro Porro from Manchester United
There have also been reports which state that Porro shares an 'excellent' relationship with Amorim. However, the right-back will not be allowed to leave north London unless Manchester United shell out €70m at the very least. This is something Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is keen on.
Manchester United will play their first match under new head coach Ruben Amorim on Sunday, November 24, when they travel to East Anglia to take on former assistant coach Kieran McKenna's Ipswich Town.
The Red Devils are ranked at a lowly 13th position in the league table at the moment with 15 points in their bag.
