Tottenham star Richarlison appears to mock Arsenal on social media as Manchester City win 4th consecutive Premier League title

Tottenham marksman Richarlison posted a video on Instagram that appears to mock Arsenal moments after Manchester City were declared champions of the Premier League. The Brazillian forward posted an uncaptioned meme video of a child laughing hysterically.

The Premier League title race went down to the wire, with only two points separating Manchester City (88) and Arsenal (86) ahead of the final matchday. Arsenal needed to win their last match versus Everton and hope Manchester City dropped points against West Ham.

However, the situation would have been very different had things gone differently at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week. Manchester City faced Richarlison's Tottenham in their penultimate league match. With just two points separating them from Arsenal, it was a must-win game for Pep Guardiola's men to keep themselves in control of the title race. The biggest irony was that a Tottenham victory would've put their arch-rivals Arsenal in the driver's seat for the title race.

Tottenham suffered a 2-0 defeat against the Cityzens. Son Hueng-Min could've equalized for Spurs in the 84th minute but was denied by a brilliant one-on-one save by substitute goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.

With a 3-1 win over West Ham yesterday (May 19), Manchester City secured their fourth consecutive Premier League title and sixth in seven years.

Brazil released their 23-man squad for the upcoming Copa America a few days ago, and Richarlison was among the major absentees. With a solid defense, young midfield, and a stacked attack, the Selecao are one of the favorites to win this year's tournament.

According to The Athletic, the 27-year-old suffered a calf injury that omitted him from the Brazillian squad. Coach Dorival Junior revealed that the player personally informed him about the injury, although the club hadn't made it official.

“Richarlison has a calf injury. It has not yet been made official by the club, but we contacted the player and he informed us," he said.

However, Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has insisted that the injury isn't serious.

“He'll probably miss three or four weeks from what I understand,” the Spurs manager revealed (via The Standard UK).

In 28 Premier League matches this season, Richarlison has found the net 11 times and assisted four more.
