Trent Alexander-Arnold sends message to Real Madrid superstar after latter's showing in UCL clash against Stuttgart

Trent Alexander-Arnold has sent a message to Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham after Los Blancos' opening match in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, September 17. Playing at the Santiago Bernabeu, Carlo Ancelotti's men started their European campaign with a comfortable 3-1 win over VfB Stuttgart.

Despite chances being created at both ends, Real Madrid were more clinical in front of goal. After Kylian Mbappe broke the deadlock in the 46th minute, Deniz Undav equalized for the German club. Los Blancos reclaimed their lead in the 83rd minute through Antonio Rudiger.

Endrick then rounded off the scoring in stoppage time (90'+5), courtesy of a blunder by goalkeeper Alexander Nubel.

After the game, Jude Bellingham took to Instagram to celebrate the win. Posting a photo of himself, the Englishman wrote, "Back." Fellow England international Trent Alexander Arnold commented (via @MadridXtra on X):

“We back!”

The match against VfB Stuttgart was a comeback game for Bellingham after he was sidelined for 23 days because of a calf injury. The midfielder was impressive on the night for Los Blancos, maintaining a 93 percent passing accuracy and winning five duels.

He was substituted in the 80th minute by Endrick, who scored on his Champions League debut.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has emerged as one of the prime targets for Real Madrid next season (via the Mirror). The 25-year-old has been one of the mainstays in the right-back position at Liverpool. However, his contract expires next season and he'll be free to leave Arne Slot's side.

In 315 games across competitions for the Premier League giants, Alexander-Arnold has scored 19 goals. He has developed a penchant for delivering inch-perfect long balls into the penalty area from the right wing, resulting in him recording 82 assists for Liverpool so far.

Trent Alexander-Arnold provided the assist for Ibrahima Konate's goal (23') in Liverpool's 3-1 victory over AC Milan in their UEFA Champions League opener on Tuesday. The Englishman had an impressive game, maintaining a passing accuracy of 83 percent and playing four key passes.
