"Useless to the team" "This stinker needs to be studied" - Fans unhappy with Barcelona star despite 5-0 win over Young Boys

Fans took to social media to slam Barcelona forward Ferran Torres for his poor performance in their 5-0 win over Young Boys. The Blaugrana invited their Swiss counterparts to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys for their Champions League clash on Tuesday. Notably, it was not a good outing for the visitors.

Almost from the whistle, Barca were on the front foot, and their domination in the final third yielded profit, with Robert Lewandowski scoring the first of many in the 8th minute. Raphinha doubled the score with 34 minutes on the clock before Inigo Martinez hit the third just three minutes later.

In the second half, Lewandowski made it four at the 51 minutes. The fifth goal came from Young Boys captain Mohamed Ali Camara, who inadvertently put the ball into his net. The Swiss side eventually scored a consolation goal in injury time, but a review from VAR showed that they failed to beat the offside trap.

While Barcelona had fun in their UEFA Champions League clash, Ferran Torres was absent for much of the game. He did get into the right spots intermittently, but the 24-year-old was not clinical on the night, with goalkeeper Marvin Keller saving his shots.

Torres hardly did much else, failing to dribble past his marker at any point. He only won a single duel and failed to do much in defense. Fans were quick to take notice of his subpar performance and the big chance he missed.

"Doesn’t even look like ferran played this game ….useless to the team," a fan said.
"At this point I feel like Antony🐐 plays better than Ferran," another wrote.
"Ferran Torres is a horrible footballer to say the least..." a fan said.

Most fans were disappointed with the performance of the Spaniard.

"This Ferran stinker needs to be studied," a fan said.
"Ansu fati has been far better than ferran torres #UCL #Barcelona" this fan compared teammates.
"Bro I'm serious is Ferran even on the pitch💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀," a fan commented.

Barcelona dominated Young Boys in the 5-0 demolition

Barcelona were the better side in every area when they faced Young Boys on Tuesday. The Blaugrana dominated possession, holding 70%, and they made 610 passes (91% accuracy). Their opponents had just 30% possession with 224 passes (79% accuracy).

Young Boys did not do much shooting, with only five shots at goal, one on target and one hitting the crossbar. Barcelona had 21 shots at goal with eight on target, and their clinical side showed, as they scored five goals.

Barcelona will return to La Liga next when they face Deportivo Alaves at Estadio de Mendizorroza on Sunday (Oct. 6). Young Boys, on the other hand, have a big match against Basel coming up in the Swiss Super League at St. Jakob-Park on the same day.
