[Video] Cristiano Ronaldo speaks about his diet and gives a glimpse of what he stores in his fridge

Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has provided fans with a little sneak peek into what he does for his nutrition on an everyday basis.

The 39-year-old footballer joined the popular fitness brand Whoop as its brand ambassador in May this year. In collaboration with the company, who focuses on providing useful data surrounding nutrition to its customers, Ronaldo undertakes a few social media segments.

In one such video, he provided fans with a glimpse into his fridge, which seemingly contained fresh vegetables and fruits, some infused water, and juice. Speaking about his fitness and health, which the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is quite popular for, he says in this clip:

"I like to eat properly, not only because I play football, but it's for your health, the most precious thing that you have in your life. As I told you, now this moment, hydration (points to juices and water)."

When asked if Ronaldo ever moves away from the healthy foods he eats, the athlete replied:

"I try to do different meals every time, because I have a big family. To eat some pizza with them, or a burger with some chips. We know that I don't do this often, but it's good, because, if not, your kids are gonna call you a boring father."

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to contribute heavily to Portugal, although he is now 39 years old. By keeping himself healthy, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has given himself the chance of winning the European Championship again this summer.

In their latest friendly against Ireland, the former Manchester United striker started the game and contributed with two goals. Speaking after the match, he said (via EUROSPORT):

"I know I don't have many years of football left. It's a gift to play year after year, after 35. I'm 39 and every year is about enjoying. To score for the national team is special. The national team is the love of my life, winning the Euros would be a dream."

Ronaldo has already achieved this feat with Portugal, winning the Euros in 2016. To date, he's played 207 matches across competitions, bagging 130 goals and 46 assists.
