Vinicius Jr reacts on social media as 20-year-old star leaves Real Madrid
Vinicius Junior has reacted to Real Madrid youngster Vinicius Tobias' Instagram post, announcing that he will be leaving the Santiago Bernabeu this season.
The 20-year-old's contract with Los Blancos runs out at the end of June, after which he will be looking for opportunities elsewhere. During his time at the club, Tobias made just one senior appearance, which lasted 88 minutes.
With his limited inclusion in the senior team, it comes as no surprise that the right-back is seeing the exit doors. Posting about his departure from Real Madrid, Tobias wrote:
"It was two nice years of a lot of learning, experience, and growth. To the technical staff, directors and colleagues, my eternal gratitude. Just thankful for the opportunity to wear this shirt."
"We'll see you again Madridistas. Thank you for everything. Hala Madrid!"
Vinicius Junior never played alongside Tobias in a competitive fixture for Los Blancos but has rubbed shoulders with the defender on the training ground. Reacting to his heartfelt Instagram post, the Brazil international commented:
"Good luck, bro."
Vinicius Tobias made 61 appearances across competitions for Real Madrid Castilla, bagging eight assists while failing to find the net even once. He came to the Spanish capital from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2022 and is leaving after failing to make an impact with the first team.
Real Madrid youngster set to leave the club after limited contributions to first team - Reports
Real Madrid's 19-year-old striker Alvaro Rodriguez is reported to be leaving the club after seeing limited game time in the first team this season. He only made one La Liga appearance, which lasted a minute, while staying on the pitch for two minutes in his only Copa del Rey match.
Diario AS have reported that the former Uruguay under-20 international has accepted that he will need to leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer (via Football Espana). With the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, Rodriguez's minutes are certain to be limited in the number nine position in the 2024-25 campaign.
However, the youngster does have suitors, and this report claims that Getafe, along with Rayo Vallecano, are interested in acquiring his services in the summer. Rodriguez is contracted with Los Blancos till the summer of 2027 and has made 10 senior team appearances to date, bagging a goal and an assist each.
