WATCH: Al-Nassr post incredible tribute video for Cristiano Ronaldo as he scores 900th career goal

Al-Nassr have posted a video on social media paying tribute to their captain and talisman Cristiano Ronaldo after he bagged his 900th career goal. Ronaldo achieved the feat while playing for Portugal in their 2-1 win over Croatia in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday, September 5.

The Real Madrid legend's 34th-minute strike will live on in history books for years to come and was commemorated with a special post from his club. He became the first player to score 900 professional goals with the strike against Croatia.

In the video, Ronaldo can be seen doing his iconic 'Siu' celebration in a montage of images from across the years.

Ronaldo joined the Saudi Pro League side in January 2023 and has been a pivotal part of the team and the league. After his arrival, several footballers playing for top clubs in Europe began making the switch to Saudi Arabia. Some of the notable names are Karim Benzema, Neymar, N'Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez, and Vitinha.


Cristiano Ronaldo's performances for Al-Nassr

Portugal legend and captain Cristiano Ronaldo has been phenomenal for Al-Nassr since he arrived as a free agent in January 2023. The veteran striker has found the back of the net regularly for the side and helped them challenge for the Saudi Pro League crown in successive seasons.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner found the back of the net 44 times and set up 13 goals in 45 appearances last season. The Real Madrid legend is undoubtedly the main star of his team, with his total return of 62 goals and 17 assists in 68 games for the Knights of Najd.

Ronaldo has continued to impress for Al-Nassr in the new season, scoring four times and providing two assists in his opening four games. The team will be keen to play to his strengths and achieve league or cup glory.

Following his landmark 900th goal, Al-Nassr will hope to provide the environment he needs to pursue his 1000th career strike. Before then, he will line up with his compatriots for their final international game of this break against Scotland on September 8.
